Tyler Boddy
Assistant Coach

Tyler Boddy is in his eighth season as an assistant coach in 2019 and assists in all facets of the program.

Since Boddy has joined the staff, SMSU has appeared in seven straight NCAA tournaments, including finishing as NCAA national runners-up in 2014.

SMSU has a combined record of 157-42, which includes a pair of NSIC regular season titles, during his time on staff.

Boddy, a native of New Ulm, Minn., came to SMSU after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He was also an assistant for one season at Ripon College.

Tyler, a 2012 graduate of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, lives in Marshall with his wife, Alex, and son, Bronx.

Paul Soupir
Assistant Coach

Paul Soupir is in his 16th season as a volunteer coach on the Mustang staff in 2019. He helps in facets of the program and has been on staff for 15 straight NCAA tournament appearances.

A native of Milroy, Minn., Soupir served on the coaching staff of both the Tracy-Milroy High School volleyball and girls’ basketball teams from 1982-2006.

Paul and his wife Marlene have four children.
